“SAIL FOR PEACE – SAIL FOR KIDS”
FOR ORC International, ORC Club and ORC Non-Spinnaker BOATS
30 JULY – 08 AUGUST 2026
The notation [DP] in a rule of this Notice of Race means that the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the Protest Committee, be less than disqualification. The notation [NP] in a rule means that a boat may not protest another boat for breaking that rule. This changes RRS 60.1(a). It is at the discretion of the Protest Committee to impose disqualification (DSQ), any other penalty, or to decide to exonerate a boat for breaches of class rules, the Offshore Special Regulations (OSR) and the Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS). For any other breach, the provisions of the current HSF/Offshore Committee Regulations shall apply. The notation [SP] (Standard Penalty) means that a standard penalty has been prescribed for the rule concerned, which may be imposed by the Race Committee without a hearing or in accordance with RRS 60.5(b)(3) and RRS A5. However, the Race Committee or the Technical Committee may protest a boat for such breaches when they consider that the standard penalty is inadequate. A boat that has been penalised with a standard penalty may not be protested by another boat for the same incident. The abbreviation NoR means Notice of Race and the abbreviation SI means Sailing Instructions.
